Our community is a tight knit one and we are wanting to share some of our clients industry journeys with you. This months feature client is Blink!
Q: HOW DID YOU START IN THE INDUSTRY?
I started nude modelling in 2017 when I submitted my first set to Suicidegirls. I was working in a bar when I met a girl who had modelled for Suicidegirls for years and I thought it sounded like fun! From there I found MFC and OnlyFans, at the time I had no idea this world even existed but I’m so glad I found it.
Q: HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR NAME?
I had to pick a name to submit a photoset to Suicidegirls. A lot of the names that came to mind had already been taken and it took ages for me to land on a name. A friend from work suggested Blink as I have always been obsessed with blink 182 and requested Blink when the bar had a DJ, I thought it sounded super cute.
Q: WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE TO SOMEONE THINKING ABOUT TRANSITIONING TO ONLINE WORK?
100% know your boundaries and don’t let anyone push you to do something you don’t want to do! I also think it’s important to give yourself a break – especially now with so much of our job being online. Constantly returning messages and checking your social media can become a habit and might not feel like work but it’s important to have some true “you time”.
Q: WHAT IS AN ACHIEVEMENT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF?
This year I was able to buy my own house with Empire taking care of my business finances! Buying a house has always been a dream of mine and I’m incredibly grateful for the industry for making this dream possible.
Q: WHO ARE YOUR NUMBER ONE SUPPORTS IN THE INDUSTRY?
My friends and my partner are my biggest support. Following like minded people on social media within the industry and getting to know your local SW community also helps to feel less isolated. It can often be hard for people who don’t have any experience to understand the struggles we face.
Q: HOW DID YOU COME ACROSS EMPIRE INDUSTRY FINANCE?
So many friends I have made use Empire Industry for their business finances so I knew I was in good hands and that I wouldn’t face any judgement or stigma you may encounter otherwise. It was the best thing I have done for my business and I feel at ease knowing everything is taken care of!
Q: TO FINISH, TELL US YOUR FUNNIEST INDUSTRY STORY.
I don’t have too many funny stories! It’s incredibly rare that I get recognised out in public however last year at Sephora a sales assistant said that she followed a girl on instagram that looked “just like me” and then pulled out her phone and showed me my own profile. I was so confused I went along with it.
